Maps for Classic Climbs . . .




   This was a contract for a series of maps for Brad Johnson's climbing guide Classic Climbs of the Cordillera Blanca - Peru. Not only was working for Brad a pleasure and an honor, he wanted a series of 3-D maps for his book. It was through this work that I became more familiar with 3-D terrain modelling and using these tools to represent reality as a map. It was fun.

   At right is an inset from the regional orthogonal map and below is one example (from around eleven in total) of the individual valley maps rendered in 3-D.
